The Simulation and Advanced Clinical Skills Center at the Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences organized the International Healthcare Simulation Week 2023 under the theme “Be a Hero of Your Success Story.” The event took place from 3rd to 7th Rabi Al-Awwal 1445, corresponding to September 18th to 22nd, 2023.
The event aimed at adopting up-to-date educational methods for simulation-based training, raising awareness about the effective role of healthcare simulation in developing and enhancing efficiency of education and training. This contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and maintaining patient and practitioner safety. The event included various competitions, such as the “Standardized Patient Sim-Champion” supervised by Ms. Sajida Al-Qudah, the “Every Beat Counts” competition supervised by Ms. Hessa Al-Binali, and the “CPR Heroes” competition supervised by Corporal Khulood Al-Anzi.
The total number of participants across all activities reached 330, with more than 80 prizes distributed. The event was conducted in the college and in an external camp, targeting all military civilians, students, and staff, including administrators and faculty members from various departments.
