Electronic Library Website and Search Methods Using the Library’s Automated Index Workshop

The College’s Vice Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a workshop titled “Electronic Library Website and Search Methods Using the Library’s Automated Index.” The workshop was presented by Ms. Fatimah Samir Al-Nasser, Library Affairs Unit Head at the college, on Wednesday, 5^th Rabi’ I 1445 AH / September 20^th, 2023.

The workshop aimed to introduce the electronic library website and the search methods using the library’s automated index, enabling users to explore the information resources held by the library. It covered how to search for a book in the library using simple and advanced search methods, understanding the call number of the book and its composition to extract the required source from the shelf. Additionally, participants learned how to create a library account or membership.

This workshop contributes to providing the necessary training and information literacy awareness for students, aligning with the goals of the Library Affairs Unit at the college.
