Introduction
The Bachelor of Science in Anesthesia Technology Program at Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences (PSMCHS), is designed to prepare Saudi graduate Anesthesia Technology Specialist to provide basic, essential anesthetic care to the community. They work in accredited General Hospitals, Community Hospitals, and Specialty Medical Centers under anesthetists’ supervision.
The teaching method in the AT Departments is consists of a combination of theoretical coursework and practical which is conducted with specimens and manikins in the lab, followed by clinical management of patients in the hospitals.

Anesthesia Technology program seeks to graduate Anesthesia Technology Specialist to work as integral members of the anesthesia patient care team. Their role is to assist the anesthetists with patient assessment, preparation, and application of various equipment and supplies required for the delivery of anesthesia care. This might be performed in a variety of clinical settings including the operating room, interventional and diagnostic radiology, post-anesthesia care unit, cardiac catheterization lab, and endoscopic suites.
