As a means to accomplish our vision, the Respiratory Care Departmental Goals include:
1.To prepare qualified competent graduates with demonstrated competences in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by professional respiratory therapists.

2.To provide students with up-to-date advances in respiratory care, simulated clinical and practical skills, ethical behavior and other fundamentals necessary for effective learning and safe delivery for respiratory care practices to meet or exceed the minimum expectations of the national health care system practice.

3.To advance the scientific respiratory care research through the graduation projects in the curriculum and prepare graduates with the tools, skills and learning capabilities to conduct scientific research according to the national framework of ethical & legitimate aspects of dealing with clinical research & studies recommended by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).

4.Encouraging and guiding students to participate in professional organizations and community service projects.

5.Advancing the respiratory care curriculum as national higher education.

6.To obtain national accreditation by meeting the standards of National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation (NCAAA).

7.To maintain our international recognition of quality Respiratory Care education earned by international education recognition system (IERS), which was developed under the auspices of the International Respiratory Care Council and the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
